Movie synopsis:

A Soviet masterpiece as beautiful as it is haunting, I Am Cuba is a 1964 film by Mikhail Kalatozov taking audiences through a series of vignettes showing life in pre-revolution Cuba. Whether focusing on a working woman in Havana, or a farmer uprooted by Americans, to scenes of students spreading word of Fidel Castro and the reverberations of Batista’s armies, I Am Cuba remains entrancing emotionally and visually through all of its runtime thanks to its stunning camerawork and perennial spirit of struggle and resistance.
