About The Event
-David S. Kruse- David S. Kruse is a storyteller employing folk-rock’s unique histories to present a compelling look at characters whose rural lives are built in equal measure from devastation and joy. With a slight country swing, his work rambles and sways in time with the uncommon grace of his bucolic surroundings. Absorbing the influence of artists like Neil Young and Gram Parsons, Kruse builds these fascinating atmospheres where quiet despair and unfiltered hope exist comfortably side by side. His work is warm and occasionally unsettling, building to the creation of a world where these individuals and the consequences of their actions can play out to their inevitable conclusions. -Spectral Snake- Spectral Snake members Brooks Strause and Angela Barr cast cosmic lightning bolts of melodic wisdom cloaked in gorgeous outsider folk. Their songs are rich with otherworldly atmosphere and juxtapose the sweetness of melody against a psychedelic subconscious underbelly. Their voices often melt into each other's and evoke a sense of incantation while the wordplay makes your brain tingle. Dark, hypnotic ballads that purr with delightful melody. -Bailey Miller- Bailey Miller is a tender songwriter draping a fresh perspective over the musical traditions of generations of folk singers. His work showcases modern folk songs of the American Midwest. Listen: https://bloodatease.bandcamp.com/
-Four More Shapes- Four More Shapes is a Michigan based indie folk rock band consisting of Cole Smith, Clementia Kelly, Gavin Mcdonnell, and Alex Hallandal. They have been playing together since March of 2023. The members share an affinity for the boundlessness of art music, and timeless structure of a pop ditty. Their debut single, "Cocoon" is streaming now on Spotify and Apple Music. Listen: https://fourmoreshapes.bandcamp.com/track/cocoon
